Abarth Key Services — Fiat 500 Platform, Performance Badge, Identical IMMO

Abarth is Fiat’s performance sub-brand, producing high-specification derivatives of the Fiat 500. The Abarth 595, 595 Competizione, 695 Tributo and all current Abarth models are built on the identical Fiat 500 platform and use exactly the same Stellantis IMMO architecture. Stellantis OBD equipment covers every Abarth model using the same module as Fiat — there is no Abarth-specific IMMO restriction and no year limits. A 595 Competizione and a standard Fiat 500 of the same year use identical key programming protocols. The scorpion badge and the performance modifications don’t alter the IMMO system in any way. Abarth 595 flip-key shell failure is the most common Abarth repair request — and it is identical in cause and fix to the Fiat 500 flip-key repair that is the most common Fiat job. The 595 uses the same distinctive flip-key housing as the Fiat 500. The housing cracks at the pivot hinge under keyring weight or drop stress while the internal transponder chip and remote circuit remain entirely functional. The Abarth 500e EV — the electric Abarth launched in 2023 — uses the Stellantis platform identical to the Fiat 500 MK2 EV.
