Why the machine matters more than the make
Modern vehicle security is platform-specific. A Volkswagen IMMO system needs different tooling to a Ford, a BMW to a Renault. Most locksmiths carry one or two general-purpose machines. I carry seven, each matched to specific platforms — which is why I can handle jobs others decline.
Every card below shows which machine I use for that make and any year limits that apply to all-keys-lost jobs. Spare key programming, fob repairs, lockouts and ignition work have no year limits on any make listed. Read more about the equipment on the About page.

All-Keys-Lost Year Limits
Most makes have no year restrictions. Two exceptions apply only to all-keys-lost jobs — all other service types (spare keys, fob repairs, lockouts, programming) have no year limits on any make.
Post-2019 BMW vehicles use an updated BDC security system that requires manufacturer-level tooling not available to independent locksmiths. Spare keys, fob repairs and lockouts: all years covered.
Post-2014 cars and post-2018 vans use NXP/Infineon IMMO chips requiring OEM dealer tooling for all-keys-lost. Spare keys, fob repairs and lockouts: all years covered.
All remaining 33 makes have no practical year limits for all-keys-lost jobs using the current machine set. Call with your make, model and year to confirm before I travel.
