There is no dispatcher between us and no subcontractor attending on my behalf.

Genuine automotive emergencies are not limited to business hours. A vehicle lockout on a dark road at 2am, an all-keys-lost situation discovered on a Sunday morning, a broken key in the ignition on Christmas Day — I respond to all of them. The same machines I carry during the day are in the van every night. The same diagnostic capability and the same job completion standard applies regardless of when you call.

The one thing I do not do is give optimistic arrival estimates to win the booking. If I’m currently attending a job in Perth and you call from Edinburgh, I will tell you that it will be 60–75 minutes — not 30. An honest time estimate lets you make an informed decision about whether to wait or explore other options.
